LAURA GEDEON

Intake coordinator

Laura Gedeon is an Intake Coordinator for The Joseph Project. Laura began her career in the corporate arena. After being exposed to the atrocities of human trafficking, she entered the field with the prompting of God, the encouragement of her husband, and the pursuit of continued education.

For nearly six years, Laura served as the Outreach Coordinator for an anti-trafficking agency in Houston, Texas. Prior to this role, she worked with survivors at an assessment center created for those exiting their exploitative circumstances, conducting outreach in illicit massage businesses and mentoring survivors. Through these experiences, Laura has successfully built trusting relationships with numerous survivors she has met on the streets, in the courtroom, and online.

Laura is a graduate of Texas A&M University and the mother of two boys, both of whom are married. In all her survivor interactions, her goal is to help them bridge the gap between their current circumstances and their future goals.
